How to Delete Your Account
To delete your RebelFi account, please follow these simple steps:
Email Request
Send an email to [email protected] with the following information:
- Send the email from the same email address associated with your RebelFi account
- Include "Account Deletion Request" in the subject line
- In the body of the email, clearly state that you wish to delete your account
- Include your full name as it appears on your account
Our support team will process your request within 5 business days and send you a confirmation email once your account has been deleted.
Data Handling After Deletion
When you delete your RebelFi account, we handle your data in the following ways:
Data That Will Be Deleted:
- Personal information (name, email, phone number)
- Profile information and preferences
- Wallet connection information
- Transaction history associated with your account
- Payment methods and billing information
Data That Will Be Retained:
- Anonymized usage data that cannot be linked back to you
- Information required for legal and regulatory compliance
- Blockchain transaction records (as these are immutable on the blockchain)
- Aggregated analytics data that does not identify you personally
Data Retention Period
After account deletion, we handle data retention as follows:
Immediate Deletion:
Your personal information and account details will be deleted from our active systems immediately upon processing your request.
Backup Retention:
Your information may remain in our backup systems for up to 30 days before being permanently deleted.
Legal Retention:
Certain information may be retained for longer periods as required by law, including:
- Financial transaction records (retained for 7 years as required by tax regulations)
- Information related to legal disputes or investigations (retained until resolution)
- Compliance documentation as required by financial regulations
After these retention periods expire, all remaining data will be permanently deleted from our systems.
